Makes me sad. But LOs hematologist told me to wean and give whole milk and more iron rich foods. I planned on her self weaning, but she's a year and we are being forced. Its for her own good.

She's little an still wants every 3 hrs around the clock at the very least. Its going to be so hard.

Can you start to offer whole milk in addition to BFing to ease the transition? Does it have to be all or nothing right away?

Totally not the same, but with my oldest I dropped everything but morning and night boob at 13mo. I offered a sippy of whole milk instead. We kept BFing until 20mo when he self weaned.

We plan on doing a slow transition. She's a comfort nurser so it will be tough on her.
