Arm going numb during sleep.

Since we are still in first tri I sleep on my back sometimes thought the night. I flip from side to side and back and over again because I'm a freak in bed. The past few weeks I have been waking up from sleeping on my back with one of my arms numb. Not all the time but enough for me to be concerned. What is going on? I don't remember doing this in my first pregnancy at all.

My right arm has been going numb in bed for about a week.  I'm going to asks the MFM specialist about it tomorrow, and I'll report back to you

My arms and hands go numb every night - been happening since early in this pregnancy.  It's normal!  Worth mentioning to your OB for peace of mind, but no reason to rush in I don't think.

I had carpal tunnel last time, but I don't think it came on until later in second tri.  A side effect of it is your hands going numb when you sleep - even if you aren't sleeping on your hand or doing something else to make it go to sleep.  I wore wrist braces to bed all during 3rd tri and it helped.

I got this with my last pregnancy it wasn't a concern until it started happening during the day, then it is considered carpal tunnel.  I slept with wrist braces on to help control the swelling and that helped a lot.  I have had the occasional issues with it during this pregnancy as well and will probably be pulling out my wrist guards soon.
