Grossest craving so far?

I kind of horrified myself today at the grocery store - when I saw the Chef Boyardee display I spun the cart around and just about ran to it because I NEEDED some ravioli.  It's hideous but I love it and it tasted so damn good.

Anyone else craving stuff you normally wouldn't touch?

  • I'm embarrassed to say I crave onions. Not onion rings or cooked onions, raw onions. I want to gnaw into a raw onion like you would an apple. It's so gross but I must have it!! My DH won't come near me! Haha!
  • I have the nastiest cravings for subways meatball marinara subs, with tuna fish

  • Random fast food on the way home from work.. now almost every other day.

The other day I ate 2 boxes of hot pockets in less than 24 hours.  Last night it was almost a whole bag of cheetos... at least they were baked?  I'm so thankful that food is at least appetizing now!

I may or may not have drank a little bit of pickle juice... Don't judge me!
I dipped chips in pickle juice the other night and it was the best thing I've ever eaten!  The next night it was disgusting.  No judgement here.

This is amazing to me because I never thought ANYTHING would make Chef Boyardee taste good, let alone, SO DAMN GOOD. Kudos to you for finding that magic formula! :D

  • Spaghettios and a yoohoo!!! My hubby walked in and was like ewww. That's all he said before he just turned around and walked out. I wasn't sure if I wanted to cry or just say I no right! And I just now ate 2 ice cream sandwiches and spaghetti I Cooked for dinner last night (I'm talking a huge plate). Now I'm still thinking I want something but idk!
  • McDonald's chicken nuggets... with taco bell fire sauce...

  • I am so happy to see I am not the only one who craved spaghettios. I also loved easy Mac for a bit. Now I can't stand either. Not that this is necessarily gross, but I've been slightly addicted to chipotle lately. And it HAS to be a burrito, not a bowl.

  • All the McDonalds. Other than Chipotle, we have been fast food free in this house for over a year... Except I need chicken nuggets all the time.

  • Wow -- I am still on crackers and Gatorade. I unfortunately caught a throat infection and upper respiratory infection and have been knocked on my ass for a week :(. Had to break down and go to the ER yesterday because my throat was so swollen, nose is so congested, and food just wasn't happening. Sooo sick, lost 8 lbs in 3 days and was getting super concerned. They did an ultrasound in the ER and although I feel absolutely awful -- AWFUL!!!! -- the baby was ok and kicking around, heartbeat was great. Little miracle in there... How are they doing so well and I feel like walking death? Incredible to me. Grateful baby is ok. I will be done with 12 weeks on Tuesday and starting on our 13th week. Can't wait to be able to eat everything y'all are describing.

My husband made me pickle soup for dinner the other night.  It was completely fabulous.  We always save our pickle juice for soup!  (Not just during pregnancy I mean).  Love it.

Haha thanks!  It was ridiculous, I embarrassed myself running to that display at the store.  But I don't care, it hit the spot.

Then I discovered grilled cheese sandwiches made with potato bread and Kraft singles.  Mmmm.  I made one in a pan I had just caramelized an onion in, so I got a bit of that flavor.  Ahhhhh....

I've never heard of it before! I'll have to look it up.
It's delish!  His mom is Polish and I guess she used to make it for him.  I think he said the traditional way to do it is pickle juice for the broth (with water and bouillon), diced onions, carrots, pickles, and potatoes, and some shredded pickle for good measure.  It's ridiculously salty and awesome.  Sometimes he makes it like a vegetable soup and uses the pickle broth base with a bag of frozen veggies, with or without some meat and maybe some pasta (he used little star pasta last time, I like that in soup).

  • Today I had grilled cheese with raspberry dressing! Its almost like a jelly but u put it on salad. Oh it was soooooo good
  • Taco Bell!! I have not eaten Taco Bell in years!! But I was craving their nachos the other day :-/
  • Had Taco Bell last week. First time in forever but dammit, I wanted a taco. As far as other food goes, this is SO DH's kid. It lets me eat pretty much anything I want, but it has to be in a sandwich. He (I think it's a boy) has eased up a little and will now let me eat thick soups and diner food (which I make at home). DH is from S Jersey/Philly area so those are all his fav foods. That added difficulty is the gluten free aspect, but as long as I make everything at home, we're good. So much for having a primal/paleo pregnancy!

I really want spaghetti Os now!!!!
