Sore breast!?

Did a quick search via mobile, but don't find anything quite like what I'm experiencing. Any insight would be wonderful! I am having soreness (feels like a bruise) on the under side of my left breast. I don't feel any lumps (clogged duct). It feels a little harder than the top of the breast, but not a huge difference in firmness. Mer! It hurts! Placed a call to my OB, but no return call yet. Any advice, ladies?

I would treat it like a clogged duct.  Hot shower concentrating on that spot.  Massage while nursing and pumping and a warm compress.  I had a red spot on the top of mine and it hurt like a bruise, thats what I did.

Did you wear a bra with an under wire in it recently? I did that once and didn't pump for like four hours and I had a bruise like soreness for a day or two after that.

Any sensation I ever get in my boobs I treat it as if it's a clogged duct. Seems to work, also I get that sensation sometimes when I wear too tight of a top and/or bra.

I agree w/ PP and would treat it as a clogged duct especially if you notice even the slightest difference in firmness.

What PP said.  It's likely a clogged duct.  I've a few minor ones that just felt like bruises.  Once they resolve they feel a lot better

Yeah, sounds like a clogged duct. You don't always feel a lump (could be deep), but the bruise feeling sounds right. Don't forget, electric toothbrushes aren't strong enough..#vibratorsFTW

Keep your eye out for fevers and flu like symptoms - it could be the beginning of mastitis.
