An open letter because mad.

It came to my attention last night that there is fuckery afoot.  

The Mod of the Month thing is a complete fucking joke. 

This month's mod of the month is the N13 mod.  I have nothing against her.  I don't know her from Adam.  

However.  

By her own admission she does nothing.  She's on the boards about 4 hours a week, doesn't get involved with anything other than what happens on her own board, and occasionally cleans up after a mess. 

She does the bare minimum.  

And she won Mod of the Month.

This makes me mad.  Super mad.  

Why?

Because there are mods of other boards who legit go above and beyond and have for the last several years.  They have cleaned up actual messes involving trolls, personal info shared, etc.  

And they got shit for their efforts.  In fact, some even got shit on for their efforts.  

So the Mod of the Month is purely popularity based, so any boards that have more than one mod ::cough::Parenting::cough:: the mods have a lesser chance of winning because the vote will be split between more than one. 

This is some fucked up shit, you guys.  And it solidifies my views that the BGs did not get better after the mass exodus.  They played nice for awhile, then they went right back to being the same kind of people:  People who will protect the cashflow and let the people flap in the wind like a flag on an abandoned Olympics site.  (Hey, Sarajevo.  Hey.)
