Ok so 9 days ago I was suffering for really bad leg cramps so I emailed my doc and she suggested I put a bar of soap under the sheets by my feet and would you know so far no leg cramps.I dont know why this works but it does .Does anyone else have any weird remedies for pregnancy aches and pains?

I don't have any weird remedies, but would love a home remedy for bloating!

ETA: Obviously, not pregnancy related, but I thought I would ask

My family swears by this! I should call up my grandma and ask her what other tips she has :)

  • This is not pregnancy related, but I had what felt like a bronchial infection and I asked my SIL for any home remedies she might have since I was in between insurance. (I dropped my employer's insurance to join my wife's after we got married) Anyways...one of her suggestions, and I thought it was the weirdest thing, was the following. I copied her exact words.

"PS When the boys were tiny, I was super sick one year.  When I’d walk up to get S at the bus, I happened to be walking with the Hispanic ladies that work at the seed company at the end of my neighborhood.  One of them - after weeks of walking with me being sick — told me to go home and when it was time to go to sleep cut an onion in half and place the cut ends on the bottom of my feet, wrap with saran and socks.  I was desperate, so I did it.  It worked."

I didn't actually try it, well, because it just sounded so weird to me. But she said it worked for her. :)

  • @HollynLeana lol you got me I put it on FB after the doc told me and so many people responded oh yeah I've heard of that. Its under the sheet at my feet and every night I play with it and move it around till I fall asleep.I don't really care how it works I'm just thankful I no longer wake up crying in pure pain. :) I googled it to see if it mattered what kind of soap the internet said Irish spring but my partner's co worker said ivory so that is what I have been using. And for Heartburn/acid reflux I had it bad for a few days and tums and Maalox didn't help so I asked the doc if I could try a tsp of baking soda with a glass of water worked like a charm but very very salty so you can't drink it alot and shouldn't do it if your blood pressure is high.
