3 day old on the road...

How safe do you think is for a 3 day old baby to go on a 3 hour ride? My home is 3 hours away from the hospital I'm giving birth and I prefer to stay at home after the hospital rather than a my in laws! My husband will drive and I'll be on the back seat with all the safety precautions for baby

I live in the countriside of Panama and my OBGYN is in the city (3 hours away). I'll be staying with my family in the city 3-4 weeks before my due date...I hope I don't have a c-section, but you never know...In case I do, I'll defenitely be staying in the city for a few more days, but if it's a natural birth I would love to go home with my LO.

My verbal discharge instructions from my OB on the car were "you and your baby can ride in the car from MN to CA for all it matters, just don't drive until you're not extremely exhausted and the drugs wear off."

I say it's fine but neither me or my kids ever had an issue with the car.

My midwife told me to get out and stretch my legs every hour to keep from getting blood clots.
