1. My grandpa on my mom's side - they always had ice cream push-ups that they kept in their deep freeze. After lunch on Sunday, all of us kids would go down and get one and bring it to grandpa so he could push it up. They were soooo cold and only he could do it. He'd warm it up with his hands a little first, then push it up for us.
1. My grandmother on my moms side. She always brought us into her work to meet the kiddos she worked with. I think she influenced me for my job today working with kiddos with special needs.
2. I'd have to say Wheel Of Fortune as well. It's one that I might actually do well on. That or Deal or No Deal. I'm afraid I wouldn't be able to stop picking cases though & lose a good amount! Lol
1. We always stayed with my grandparents on NYE while my parents went out and they made it so fun for us! Grandpa made popcorn balls and cheated in card games while we all dressed up on fancy party hats with noisemakers and whatnot. So fun!
2. Love game shows! Lingo was my fave but I think it's not on anymore? Otherwise, Family Feud or Wheel of Fortune. My hubby would want Minute to Win It but that may be off the air too.
1. I have zero. Both granddads died before I was born. My mom's mom was always sickly and my dad's mom is a bitter crabby old lady.
2. I would like to think I am smart enough for jepardy:)

1. Pick a grandparent - what's your fondest memory of them?
My grandpa used to quiz my sister and me on things like capitols of the states etc. and whoever would know more, would win 10 D-Mark. Once he bet his pocket knife that he carried everywhere and I ended up winning it. He gave it to me, saying that he bet it, so he must keep his word. I gave it back a few minutes later, of course, because I could not stand the thought of him not having it. But that taught me about keeping your word when you make promises.
2. If you could be on a game show, which one would you be on?
1. My mom's mom. We used to spend a week with her going to the county fair each summer. She lived on a farm with horses and lots of cats, so as a kid it was so much fun going to spend time with her since we lived in the city.
2. Maybe the Price is Right? Or what about Press Your Luck from the 90s? No whammy, no whammy, stop! Or am I dating myself??
1. My Grandpa on my mom's side. I grew up on a lake in North Iowa and my grandparents lived just across the lake from us. One summer day when I was 6 (almost 7) my grandpa just showed up at our house in his boat and announced that I was going to learn to water ski that day. He took me and my cousin, who's a year younger, and by the end of the afternoon we could both ski. The thing that I remember the most is how much fun he made it. I remember him laughing a lot and loving being out there on the water with him.
2. I'm not really a game show kind of person. Maybe the Price is Right.
1) Granny! (My Dad's Mom)... We bonded a lot while I was growing up. When I was 11, instead of getting to do "normal" kid things, she needed help daily while my grandfather was in the hospital after hip replacement (he got an infection)... So every day, I'd bike from my parents place across the construction (they redid the road that summer) for each meal.. Looking back I'm amazed at the level of maturity it took to do that each day all summer long and I couldn't imagine my nieces/nephew doing the same for the most part... We're not talking microwave type food here either! But looking back, I'd still have done it if given the chance!!! 2) Wheel of Fortune...
Aw thank you! I have such a hard time being creative and coming up with new things each week. Trying to keep the board active!
And I really appreciate that!
I have been bad with posting here lately. I am trying to soak up every minute we have as a family of 3 before the baby comes. I bet I'll be on more once she's born....gotta stay entertained during those marathon nursing sessions in the beginning! ;-)
I would do the exact same thing so don't feel one bit bad! I only dream of marathon nursing sessions instead of power pumping. How much longer? Are you counting down the days?
I do lurk every day at least once, so I always know what's going on here. :-)
I am 37w3d and really curious to see when she'll decide to come. I have had contractions here and there for 4 days now, but nothing timeable at all. Never had this with Alex, so it's all new to me. He came 3 1/2 weeks early, so we were expecting here to be early, too. Now I believe she'll take her sweet time and come at 42 weeks or something crazy like that, ha! We'll see. She's really stretched out, my midwives said they could feel my uterus going all the way up to the sternum. So at least I have an explanation for my shortness of breath! They estimated her to be around 6 lbs at my last appointment.
Alex nursed for about 50-60 minutes per nursing session for the first few weeks and it was exhausting. 1 hour break and the same thing again. I don't know how I would handle that with a toddler running around, so I hope this one will be a bit more efficient from the beginning!
