Is it that you want the experience of another baby or you want another member to the family?  I think a lot of times we picture the cute little nugget, but that nugget will be a teenager in the blink of an eye.

I am a 10% fence sitter 90% OADer, but as I have said before I think the 10% will always be there and pop up once in a while, but when I picture the REALITY it is not what I want for my family.

It might not pass, @JackofTheBox, and that is okay!  Have another if that is what you want!

No I want another member of our family. I actually wasn't fond of the baby experience. LOL. I have talked to DH about it and we are going to re evaluate in the spring....  By then I will probably be over it  

Besides you guys might kick me out of the group!

We are going to do the same thing @JackoftheBox  I had a huge wave of wanting another this weekend, it was very weird because I am fairly staunchly OAD., so I think we are going to re-evaluate twice a year for the next 2 or so years (by then, the spacing between DD and the next would be too wide for me to see the benefits) and then get a vasectomy if we don't.

Confession?  there was a brief period of time-- I want to say it was like from when dd was 3-6 months old-- where I really enjoyed the smell of her poopy diapers.  It totally smelled like buttered popcorn to me.   I was pretty sure I was on the verge of insanity, then though.

Then solids happened.

Me too (on the pre-solid poopy diapers)!  Solid poops suck!

After getting a nice long break this weekend, I want more.  I want a week without any children around.  And maybe a fast car to drive places.  And more skiing and some hot tubs.

@hopefulmom01 - I would have voted Whistler, because I love that place.  But I haven't renewed my passport yes, so I guess we have to go to Beaver Creek.  Unless you want to do Tahoe - I enjoyed that place.  

Will you go out dancing with me at least once?

FFTC: I think about wanting another baby more often than not, I'd say. But we're just not there. It makes me sad to think that I may never have another opportunity to hold/take care of/nurse/etc a newborn/infant.

Oh, here's another FFTC: I am really glad I found this group. I'm new and we don't know each other, but I really appreciate reading your posts and being able to hear your perspectives. My birth board is at that point where I'm sure 80%+ have either had their 2nd or is pg with their 2nd. 

I would probably get kicked off if I continued to look for support from the few other OADs. ha.

Sometimes I'm tempted when people make that kind of comment to give them a detailed list of the costs associated with getting/being pregnant, giving birth and raising a child. Then ask if they want to pay for it.

My pet peeve is when people are all "you just make it work."

How about "two will do". But for the record firmly OAD. My confession is I am on whole foods diet, like no processed food or sugar, and I toatlly binged on a heap of hersey chocolate kisses on Sunday.....it was blissful. A group of my friends are doing it with me and are confessing when they have fallen off the wagon but I am staying mum...

I will confess... I totally rebuffed DH's cuddling advances last night, and I don't really feel badly about it. I know it hurts his feelings, but ugh. Sometimes I just want my space!

I have done this, minus the itemized list of cost! My boss asked me when I was planning another, with the line of "your baby is so cute, you cant just have one!!" and my response was "I'll have another when you pay for it!"
