Do all of them have one? I remember my elementary school would have these around Mardi Gras time (principal was from NO) and not every piece had a baby, so you were the lucky one if yours had one.  

Either way - I'd feel robbed too! That's like a box of cereal not having a toy!

Maybe it's a geographic thing (I'm from Oregon) but I have never heard of a king cake. I'm intrigued. What is it?!

Even on the box it warns u there is a non edible plastic baby inside the cake! Lol

I am from Oregon and had a contractor out in Louisiana send me one as a thank you for getting him a job. I had no idea what it was then. All I know is it has to do with Mardi Gras.

I was under the impression most places don't bake it with the baby in it anymore because of choking hazards. Mine came with a baby, but in a separate package out side of the cake.

Mine was cinnamon I wish I had the cream cheese one!!! Super delish! I'm in Houston so I'm not in Louisiana but we still celebrate Mardi gras here in Galveston so we have king cakes everywhere. I've seen the cakes that have the little packages with the baby and some beads but my didn't have anything in just a plastic mask for a topper. Who knows what happened to my baby people say we ate if that's the truth then we'll see it in a couple days!! Hahaha
