Hi I'm new here just found out I'm pregnant last Wednesday my first ob ultrasound with my Re's office is this Friday. I look forward to being a part of this board. My first pregnancy related questions are can you drink caffeine free coke ? I wasn't sure if you could drink one a day? Also when do you start to experience changes with your body? Last one is your first ob ultrasound at the Re doctor's office a transvaginal or an abdomen ultrasound? I just wanted to say that I look forward to getting to know everyone on this board.

IUI #1 (Follistim switched over to Menopur injections) - BFN

Attempted IUI #2 (Menopur injections only cycle) better response on the Menopur then the Follistim combination treatment cycle however my cycle was still canceled due to my eggs not maturing and follicles not growing enough on a high dose of Menopur (Re said I could try a cycle of comid + ovidrel  for an IUI) for my second IUI( praying this works for us)

  Clomid + Ovidrel protocol worked still a BFN as a result

Attempted cycle  Clomid  + Ovidrel protocol for IUI # 3 (Unable to do this cycle due to a cyst)

IUI # 3 Clomid+ Ovidrel protocol - BFP    Beta #1 752  Beta #2  1536    Beta #3 3797

EDD 10/27/14

Our sweet baby boy arrived on 9/2/14 TTC # 2 Conceived without help- June 2015 July 2015- Miscarriage ( blighted ovum)

    Welcome, and congrats on your bfp.  As far as I know, caffeine free coke is fine!

    Me: 42. DH: 46.

    1st Pregnancy: MC, 11/19/00.

    2nd Pregnancy: DS born 04/10/06.

    3rd Pregnancy: CP, 03/11.

    4th Pregnancy: MMC, D&C 11/30/11, Genetic testing revealed Trisomy 4.

    5th Pregnancy: Ectopic, 2 doses of Methotrexate unsuccessful, surgery 4/10/12, right tube removed.

    Tried Letrozole January 2013-July 2013 (including 2 IUIs), all BFN.  After 2 1/2 years of trying for child #2, decided to "give up" after July cycle, based on AMA.

    August 16, 2013:  BFP our first month of "not trying!"  Still in shock.  Beta #1 (14dpo): 183.  Beta #2 (17dpo):  611.  Ultrasound 8/30/13: baby measured 6 weeks, 1 day, heart rate of 118 bpm! 
    Ultrasound 9/13/13:  8 weeks, heart rate of 176!
    Baby is due 4/26/14

    Welcome!  Congrats!  I think the recommendation for regular pregnant ladies is to keep caffeine to less than either 200 or 300 mg (depending on whom you ask).

    I can't see any problem with drinking a little caffeine free soda in moderation.

    Yay so happy to see another person coming over from 3T! Congrats and welcome!
    Me 29 DH 30 Unexplained IF TTC since wedding May 2012. IUI #1 11/5/13-BFN.  IUI #2 12/5/13-BFN. IUI #3-12/30/14. All three with Femara CD 3-7 and Ovidrel trigger. +HPT 1/13/14 First +ever!!! Beta #1 195 Beta #2 1/15-533. Ultrasound on 2/4 showed one bean. EDD 9/22/14. Team Green turned Team Blue-Baby Conner arrived on 9/19/14.

    Began TTC #1 in Sept. 2010. I was 33, DH was 36.. Dx with DOR and slight MFI (8/4/11).

    Test results (after first RE visit 6/21/11): 7DPO b/w: Progesterone = 11.3; CD3 b/w: FSH = 10.1 mUnits/mL, E2= 52.0 pg/mL, AFC: 6; SIS Ultrasound: Uterus great, tubes clear! AMH: 0.3 

    IUI#1 June 2012 (Follistim/HCG trigger): BFN 
    IUI#2 July 2012 (Follistim/HCG trigger): BFN 
    IUI#3 August 2012 (Follistim/HCG trigger): CP (Beta #1: 4.61, Beta #2: 1.0) 
    IUI#4 October 2012 (Follistim, ovulated before trigger, missed IUI, converted to TI): BFN 
    Jan. 2013 New RE
    IVF #1 June 2013 MDL Protocol. Converted to IUI#4.1. (High E2 and 3+ mature follicles at first monitoring.) BFFN
    IVF #1.2 August 2013 Stop Lupron Protocol with Human Growth Hormone added. 17R, 14M, 9F (with ICSI), 2 embryos (decent quality - grade 2) transferred on day 3, 2 blasts made it to freeze. Beta 8/26. BFFN :'(

    FET #1 December 2013 Last try! Transferred 2 blasts -- graded 3AB and 4BB. Beta #1 (12/27/13) 530. Beta #2 (12/30/13) 1876. BFP! One bean. EDD 9/3/2014!

    We welcomed the most beautiful baby girl into the world on September 11, 2014!

    Congrats and welcome!  While I think a caffeine free coke would be fine, my DH has gotten paranoid about "caramel coloring" which seems to be in most brown colored colas.  He read something about it being bad for you recently.  Here's a very short article I just found on it. https://www.upi.com/blog/2014/01/23/Caramel-coloring-in-sodas-could-be-carcinogenic/4441390499943/  But it seems like there is a studying saying just about everything is bad for you these days so take that for what it's worth!

    Congrats and Welcome!  Agree that caffeine free coke should be fine. I was also told keep it to 200-300 mg of caffeine per day.  I've switched to decaf coffee and have caffeinated pop a couple times a week, but in the 8oz small cans, not the 20oz bottles all at one time (although last weekend I slipped and did have an entire fountain drink of Coke all at once!). FX all goes well!

    So happy to see you over here! Congrats! I drink 1 full caffeine diet Pepsi a day and babies are fine...do what you are comfortable with.

    5 rounds of clomid, 3 IUIs, and multiple non-medicated cycles- BFFN                                                      
    IVF with ICSI in August 2013 brought us our babies.  ER-9R, 7M, 4F w/ICSI  ET of 2-Grade 2 blasts. 
    + HPT at 6dp5dt. #1 (8dp5dt)- 105    #2 (13dp5dt)- 510  #3 (15dp5dt)- 960  #4 (17dp5dt)- 1889
    Dx shortened cervix, PTL, and preeclampsia during pregnancy.  Lots of medications and 13 weeks of bedrest, babies were born healthy at 34w4d!

    Congrats on the bfp!

    You are allowed to have coke with caffeine as well...just don't drink a million of them a day! There's a chart somewhere if you google and it shows you the limits for caffeinated drinks.

    Ahhh!!! Congrats and welcome! It is so exciting when another 3t makes it here! Caffeine free pop should be fine. Actually you could drink the real stuff, just sick to one a day to keep it below 200mg of caffeine.

    Congratulations and welcome!  I can't answer your soda question, but for my first ultrasound (I think it was 7 weeks) we had it done at the RE and they used a transvaginal wand.  My first appt with my OB at 9 weeks, also used a transvaginal wand.  At my First Trimester screening they used an abdominal ultrasound--felt great not to be internally probed!

    Hey there, congrats again!!  My OB's rule was 1 caffeinated drink per day.  I started to notice subtle changes about 5 weeks in last time, and was so bloated that I couldn't zip my pants somewhere around 7 weeks.

    Huge Congrats and welcome!!  Caffeine free Coke should be fine - unless you end up with gestational diabetes, like me.  :(  I avoided soft drinks throughout the pg anyway, just because they made me sick after the all-day sickness kicked in.  After I felt better, I found a bit of Sierra Mist a couple of times a week helped shake things up for me, LOL, but I'm back to just plain ol' water all the time after the GD diagnosis.

    Congratulations! I'm sure your u/s will be transgavinal.  I had one at 6, 7 and 9 weeks and they were all transvaginal. 

    Married: 6/4/2005Start TTC early 2012 May 2013: PCOS Diagnosis August 2013: Uterine Septum Removal November 2013: 1st round clomid, ovidrel trigger December 2013: 2nd round clomid, ovidrel trigger, BFP!!! August 2014: Baby girl arrives! February 2016: Ready for #2 May 2016: starting again with clomid, ovidrel trigger June 2016:  BFP!!! EDD: 2/21/16

    Welcome & congrats! I hope ginger ale is ok. I have 1 can almost everyday. The nausea is starting. My 1st ultrasound was Thursday at 6 weeks (I never knew I could fall in love with a blinking dot!). It was the transvaginal wand. My next ultra ultrasound is sched for 7 1/2 weeks and I believe that will also be transvaginal. This week my body bloated like crazy. I am going to look at maternity jeans today. Good luck to you!
    Me: 33 - PCOS & Hypothyroidism DH: 35 - SA is good Married since 2010 (together since 2006) TTC since June 2009 (we knew we would have issues and wanted family right away after we got married). No pregnancies yet. May 2013 - started first round of Chlomid & ovidrel cycle.
