Our son will be 21 months next week, and he used to be a great sleeper. We used to be able to put him in his crib, and he'd put himself to sleep for both naps and at night. And, if he woke up i the middle of the night, he would usually just put hi music on and go back to bed. However, for the last two or so weeks, he's no longer sleeping on his own. We put him in his crib, and he just stands in the corner screaming and crying. this is the same for naps, nighttime, and if he wakes up during the night. In order tog et him to sleep, we have to lay next to the crib with our hand through the slats. Then he'll lay down next to or on top of our hand and fall asleep. Sometimes this can take 5 minutes, and other times it can take over an hour and a half. We usualy try to have him in bed by 7:30pm, so we would start his bedtime routine around 7pm.
Anyone have any advice or experience with this? We miss our sleep!
TIA!
