Luteal Phase Defect

Hi. I'm TTC #2, LO is 9.5 mo old. I've never had this problem before but my Luteal Phase keeps decreasing in the number of days. I'm currently at 9 days from O to AF. The CBEOPK says I'm O'ing and we've been BD'ing out a**es off from when it hits HIGH until it goes to LOW.

AF has always been 3 days Heavy since I went off BC about 4 years ago. This month it's been very light (thought it was implantation) and has been going on for 5 days now. Not sure if it's random or associated with this.

Anyone have this ever - PP or even while trying to get pregnant? I can't get into my OB until 6 weeks from now.

I'm assuming you're not temping? OPKs on their own just aren't accurate to the exact day for when you actually ovulate, you could be ovulating already when you get your positive, or not ovulating for another 12-36 hours afterwards.  Temping really will help you to figure out your cycle correctly, best advice you'll get here is to get an account with Fertility Friend, do the free tutorials there, and pick up a BBT thermometer and start temping/charting.

I have it too. I'm going to try taking B6, a B complex, and Vitex this month. I did it for one month in the Fall and had a m/c anyway because my cycle still wasn't long enough. This time, I'm going to do it for a few months and make sure that my cycle lengthens before we TTC. I also found out that my Vit D is on the low side so I will supplement that too. And I am eating really healthy, trying to lose weight (I really need to). Are you planning to try any type of supplementation?

I take a B complex every day as well as a vitamin D. Did the vitex help at all?

The Vitex didn't help in the first month and I miscarried early. I have heard it can take a couple of months so I'm going to give it the time and watch my chart.  Until I see a longer luteal phase, we're not TTC.
