April 2014 Moms

Accomplishments, shall we?

It's getting harder and harder to do anything. We're all low on energy; we're tired and sore. Let's celebrate our small accomplishments!

Today I hope to fold laundry and hopefully have a satisfying poop, lol!

What goal will you try to reach?

  • Yesterday my parents dropped off BOXES and BOXES of stuff so I went through most of it and organized it, organized my Mary Kay inventory, put all of my books from my parents house on the shelf (after cleaning it off) and I can see half my office's floor! HUGE ACCOMPLISHMENT for me!

  • Not yell at anyone at work. Try and stay sane and remember what I do at my job.

At home, I'm going grocery shopping any maybe throwing in another load of baby laundry. That's about it.

  • Today I will write thank you notes from my wedding and baby shower. Hopefully I will organize some of the baby stuff I got as well, but that may be pushing it haha.

  • I made Mac and cheese for lunch and have gotten about halfway through cleaning my cabinets and ripping the liner out. I really should have done this when my nesting streak was in crack mode. I really don't want to do it now. Hopefully I can have it all done before it's time to cook again!

  • So far today I have showered, played duplos with my DS and cleaned the kitchen. Tonight after he goes to bed, I hope to do some laundry.
  • This weekend I cleaned DS's playroom and my car. That was a major accomplishment. Today my accomplishment will be showering and actually fixing my hair because I'm getting it colored and trimmed tomorrow in preparation for my shower this weekend. I also have to go shoe shopping for my shower and get some odds and ends for LO's room.
  • Today I made it to the store to get milk, made rolls, and hope to make hamburgers and veggie for dinner. Also contacted sewing clients, completed an hour of work or my online job, and arranged for a ride for someone through my volunteer position at church.

It has not been a very productive day for me and ds, but he is happy and doing awesome with his potty training so I'm not complaining

  • Teaching Kindergarten-2nd grade students... sitting in kindergarten size chairs for majority of the day... and maybe trying to pee just 30 times today instead of 60

  • On Friday I cleaned the entire house...ok almost entire house, in preparation for our weekend house guest. On Sunday we took the two year old to river museum and chased him around all day. Pretty proud for keeping up with him for two hours!
  • I went to my OB appointment, got a passport photo, stopped on base to turn in paperwork for our overseas move, and then went grocery shopping. I got really dizzy leaving the store so now I'm resting and drinking water even though I had hoped to accomplish a few more things today before back to work tomorrow. Silly body, can't hang with my brain these days!
  • @acaawkward - we got DS the Melissa and Doug table and chairs and I put it together last week. That thing took forever and took so much it of me! Lol! Good luck!

I didn't get to the Duplo set, but I did go find the donations list in the guest bedroom and get a bunch of things organized down there. So that's awesome.

The grandparents went in on a PB set, and it actually seems pretty easy to put together! But...I still only made it through one chair ;)

  • I woke up at 4:30 so I could take DD2 to get tubes. I had to be at the hospital by 6 am. We were home by 9 am and have been resting ever since then. Surgery went well too.
    Hope your LO feels better!
  • I'm on day 1 of modified bedrest so besides lots of laying on my left side I stuffed all of my newborn gDiapers with inserts and seperated all the clothing I got at my shower by size. There's so much more I want to do being home after working full time but nesting and bedrest do not mix :(
  • I went to the store and bought dishwasher soap. So I ran the dishwasher, washed the bedding and picked up dog toys...I'm done for the day, laying in bed :)
  • Work a full day, write 5 thank you notes, and take the dog on a walk. Got 2 out of 3 done- just gotta get the motivation to walk!
  • I planted 2 trees, I still have 2 more to plant, which will make 5 new fruit trees planted this year. Watered all the trees and the veggie beds. Did some raking/weed pulling. Shoveled up the dog poo :-< . And took a package to UPS. DD not being at all helpful today. Need to hang a new clothes line out back so I can make use of the 80 degree day outside...also need to clean kitchen and living room before DH gets home.
  • This is from Friday...but I don't even care! I got a 401K from a job I had 6 years ago transferred into a 401K with my actual bank. I set up the paperwork to transfer from my other job as well (but I need a notary...so that wont be happening for a while)! I HATE financial stuff so this was HUGE!

and today I started my day 2 hours earlier than normal, so I am surprised I am still functioning. The real question is whether or not I will make myself go to yoga. My aching pelvis says "yes,"  my willpower says "no."

  • I'm sick with a URI...and being able to shower, buy shower hostess gifts, baby shower outfit, go to doctor for congestion, and stop by Starbucks for a frap...well, I think I did OK.
