Weekly Exercise Thread

Hi ladies. Hope your week went well. How did you do this week? I don't know about you, but with most of us being in our third trimester, I'm finding it a little bit harder to do what I used to do even two weeks ago :)

Re: Weekly Exercise Thread

  • Week: 27 weeks
    Exercise Log:
    M: 360 class (1 hour)
    W: Prenatal Yoga (1 hour)
    F: Cardio Blast (1 hour)
    S: 5 mile walk w/dog & DH
    S: Body Pump (1 hour)
Rants/Raves: Rant: I am waking up anywhere from 2-5x per night and am feeling like crap in the morning. Another rant - more than 1/2 of my work out shirts no longer fit :( Rave: I hit my goal this week and did some form of exercise 5x.
Goals for this week: Hit the gym 5x - not eat a ton of GS cookies. My order comes in on Wednesday :)
GTYK: How many of you are hoping to be in a bikini this summer? Hoping...yes. I'm not sure how realistic this is though. We have a family vacation in OBX in late July/early August and I would love it if I were back in a bikini by then...I highly doubt it, but its at least motivation.

  • Week: 27

Exercise Log:  Wednesday - zumba for 30 minutes and then about a half hour on the elliptical and bike; Friday - about an hour combined of light weights, walking and elliptical; Sunday - went grocery shopping (yeah, I count that!) and pushed cart - about an hour; went on an approximately 30 minute walk in the neighborhood.

Rants/Raves:  I am just proud that I did something this week because I have been pretty much out for a good while with sickness.

Goals for this week:  I want to try to do a little something at least 3-4 times a week - even if it all it is is walking around the block.  My body just isn't up for anything too much, but I figure that at least for now I can still (sort of) walk.

GTYK: How many of you are hoping to be in a bikini this summer?
Nope.  Not even going to put the pressure on myself.  I may wear one at my own pool in my backyard, but not in public.

  • Week: 29 weeks
    Exercise Log:
    mon ellptical 30 min, legs
Tues/thurs: speed walking at full incline 45 min arms
    Wed:ellptical 30 min
    Fri:ellptical 30 min,medicine ball circuit, 100 squats 100 lunges
    Sun: walk
Rants/Raves: taking frequent breaks for my leg is a pain, but I'm managing it and working out better that way.
Goals for this week: keep up the work, but base is on lock down for the next two weeks so my tues/thurs is shot because the kid room doesn't have a treadmill :(.
GTYK: How many of you are hoping to be in a bikini this summer?
I'm hoping, but I know it probably won't happen which won't bother me at all. I have a vs one piece that is my husbands favorite anyway. Which his opinion is the only one I care about anyway <3

  • Week: 30
Exercise Log: We had our babymoon last week but managed to squeeze in a few workouts.
Sun - Ran 3.5 miles, 10 min elliptical
Tues - Ran 3.5 Miles, 10 min elliptical
Fri - Ran 3.5 miles, 10 min elliptical
Sun - Ran 3.5 miles, 5 min elliptical
Rants/Raves: My belly has gotten noticeably bigger this past week. I'm starting to get random pelvic pain and It's definitely getting a bit harder to run.
Goals for this week: Just keep up the routine. Hopefully I can keep running for at least a few more weeks before I switch over to elliptical/biking/walking only.
GTYK: How many of you are hoping to be in a bikini this summer? Hoping, absolutely. Is it realistic, I doubt it. Once I get the green light from the doctor I'll start working out hard to get back in shape, but who knows if my body will even cooperate.

    Week: 25 weeks

    Exercise Log:
    Monday-Tracy Anderson dvd (40 minutes)
    Tuesday-30 minute walk
Wednesday-one hour of prenatal yoga, tai chi, and pilates
    Thursday-30 minute walk
    Friday-
    Saturday-
    Sunday-

Rants/Raves:  Raves - It felt good to walk outside this past week.  Now that our air quality allows for outdoor activity, I am looking forward to more walking.  I love how big my belly is getting - so happy these baby girls are growing in there.  Rants - Excruciating migraine Saturday-Sunday really ruined my motivation for any type of activity.  And I can't walk too far without having to go to the bathroom...30 minutes it is!

Goals for this week:  keep up walking on lunch break & try to get in 2 days of Tracy Anderson dvd & be better about sugar intake...damn rice krispie treats!

GTYK: How many of you are hoping to be in a bikini this summer?  Always a hope...but I am not going to feel too bad if it doesn't happen that fast for me.  I am not certain if it is a realistic goal.  I will have my hands full with twin girls, and I am more focused on preparing for those babies now...and less focused on my post baby body.

  • Wow, I need to start reading this post every week to motivate me!  You guys are awesome!  All I do is take prenatal yoga on Thursday evenings and walk my dog daily around the block.

Jcrewgirl85 where do you go in the OBX?  We go to Avon every fall, usually in Oct.  This year we are thinking of going in Sept since I will still be out on leave for work.  We are just trying to figure out how it will be with a 4 month old.  Thank goodness grandma would be there to help!  : )  It will be our first vacation with kids!
  • Can I get in on this?

    Week: 27
    Exercise Log:
    M- 45 minute run/walk (10 min run/2 min walk intervals)
    T-  60 minute walk
    W- 50 minute run/walk
    T- 60 minute walk
    F- 45 minute run/walk
    S- REST
    S- REST

Rants/Raves: I love that I got this far with being able to keep running, however I got hip pain after my run on Friday and it still has not gone away, so now I have to settle for the bike until it heals up.  Even walking irritates it.
Goals for this week: Stay motivated and active 5 days (this will be hard because I hate the bike)Get in some sort of strength training.
GTYK: How many of you are hoping to be in a bikini this summer? No way, but I don't ever wear one :)

    Nice work ladies!

  • Week: 27 (twins)

Monday: mommy/toddler yoga- 30 min of actual yoga for me
Tues: 35 min walk on treadmill
Wed: 20 min rt walk to park

Rants: ugh! Started feeling sick on Wed and it ended up being a stomach virus (the second one I've had this season), so that knocked me out for several days. Finally feeling back to normal today.

Also, I'm basically measuring full term so things are getting more difficult. It's hard to even get up off the couch or move in bed. Yoga today was a little more challenging than last week. But I'm still going to try to keep pushing forward.

    Goals: 4-5 days of activity.

Ha! Since I'm having twins, I do not expect to be in a bikini this summer. I'll be grateful if my stomach doesn't stretch so much that I'm never in a bikini again. My goal is to be in one the following summer... And just survive this summer with two newborns and a toddler. We spent a ton of time at the pool last summer, so hopefully I can at least make it there. :)
