I was wondering what your protocol is for the OPK. When do you start testing? What brand do you use? Once you get a positive do you test the next day or just leave it be and focus on the "next step"?

I start after period ends (I'm pretty regular and know it won't be sooner and they'd just be wasted). Once I get + dark test line I don't test anymore (again- wasting) unless you are just testing to see how your upsurge and down surge are- which can be helpful info.

Once you get a + HIO for the next few days. You O 24-48 hours AFTER you positive so I HIO day of positive + and then the next 3 days.

Also, once you get good at anticipating O, I would HIO a day or two before you expect a + OPK and then the next few days after.

If I knew how to link my charts and wasn't mobile I would do that, you could see the timing I had with my past two pregnancies but, it is basically what I said above.

I second what momarrazzi said about testing after... You can if you want to watch your down surge.

I forgot to say- I use cheapies and then I confirm with a clearblue easy digi (NOT the advanced- the advanced sucks!) get the regular one- it has a pink button.

I also buy name - brand line OPKS but, only if they come with a HPT

Thanks! I got a positive this morning and being only the second time I have ovulated while doing the OPK I wasn't 100% sure and was curious. Guess I will be joining the ranks of the vaginal suppository progesterone this Thursday! Beta is scheduled for March 10th which is the week my dad is coming in from out of town to meet DD for the first time and for her second birthday party. At least I will be able to stay busy I guess! OK...sorry for the ramble, I'm done now!
