My family babysits A a couple days a week and hate snaps and can't figure them out. I want to get a stash of prefolds and covers to leave there along with the few Kawaii hd2s that I have. What are your thoughts?
I stay there a few days a week and my mom washes the ones they use before we come home. I am sick of toting them back and forth and think it would be easier to leave them there.
I work an hour away and that's where my parents live so the kids just go with me and spend the time I work with my family.
I second Blueberry and Best Bottoms. I also love my SoftBums Echo aplix (it's like the Kawaii HD2) but they are fleece lined so maybe not the best option if you want to get more than one or two uses out of it.
DH never does snaps right, either. He can get a onesie on right, but snap pajamas are a lost art for him. I second the recommendation for Blueberries. Double gussets are a must for us. I haven't tried Best Bottoms, but I hear they're fantastic. I like RaRs aplix, too, and they have double gussets. Thirsties just improved their aplix last year and there was a thread about it a couple of weeks ago, but I didn't read all of it.
They just don't do the hip snaps at all. Or they will only do one snap on each side. They have asked to only have aplix because they don't have patience for snaps.
I like RaR and new Thirsties aplix. I use both for DC. I hate to see a different teacher in C's room when I pick up. I always wonder what I will find at the next diaper change.
Thirsties new aplix, RaR, Bummis Super Brite or Bummis Super Whisper. Also Best Bottoms but I've never used those. Blueberry aplix stays very sticky, but IME starts showing a lot of wear after less than a year. My RaR and Bummis still look new and DD isn't even the first baby to use some of those diapers. (The new Thirsties also still look new, but they are, well, new).
Re: What's the best cover with aplix?

Surprise, our 2nd daughter P was born 5/22/14!

I second RaR. But I've only used mine 3 months.
