I remember when DD2 started crawling. DD1 was sitting on the floor playing, DD2 made her way over, and grabbed her hair. "Mom! She's touching me!" It's all downhill from here. Lol. But, honestly.. I'm thrilled DS is mobile. I'm ready for him to start walking. Let's just do this.
@tiffletons518 see, I'm totally not ready for this. Mobility is, for me, the hardest stage. Plus, I have all FTM anxiety (no offense FTMs lol). Normally the second time around you've got all the baby proofing done or at least mapped out but we lived in an apartment with Aiden and had him mostly gated in one room. I know every day I'm going to realize, too late, that I didn't baby proof something. Ugh.
@elmoali But, you know you could still have everything "ready" in your mind. He's a different kid though. I still had the house babyproofed from DD1 when DD2 became mobile, but she found new and interesting ways to get into trouble. Ways that neither I or DD1 had thought of. This time we live somewhere different and I have the opposite of FTM anxiety (no offense FTMs lol). DS was gnawing on the corner of the tv stand the other day, and H and I were like, "meh.. he's fine." Lol.
There is something endearing about having your mobile baby follow you from room to room. I especially love the sound of LO working his army crawl down the hallway and watching him follow the dog when I am no longer entertaining.
