Kidney Infection

While this is generally not a good thing, I'm so glad we've hopefully hit on the problem of my preterm contractions.  Had to go to L&D again last night, and they ran a bunch of tests again, gave me the Terbutaline shot again (remembered its name this time), and got a positive urinalysis this time with both bacteria and white blood cells showing up.  They had done one on Thursday night, but it came back negative and then some moron at the hospital lab decided not to culture it even though it was requested.  They started me on an antibiotic last night, but apparently it was a little too late to keep it from moving to my kidneys.  I get kidney infections really easily, so this is not unusual for me, although not the best when you're pregnant.  Woke up this morning with my typical kidney infection pain symptoms going on, and called the doc on call (who happened to be my actual doc, yay!) to let him know of the new development and he switched me to a different antibiotic.  Hopefully all of these shenanigans were the result of a UTI infection and all will be fixed once I get this cleared up and babies will hang out for 5 1/2 more weeks!

Thanks ladies.  Just wanted to keep you updated, and let you know this might be the answer to the problems.
