I can't remember if there has been a post about this recently, but how are you putting LO down for naps and at night? I typically nurse DS and rock for a little bit before setting him down. He is not always asleep when I out him down, but nursing seems to help him settle. Maybe this will become a sleep crutch in the future, but he is starting to be able to out himself to sleep if he goes down awake. How about you?
Re: Putting down for naps
At bedtime, I clean him up (bath every other night), change him, feed him, we play for a little bit, and then rock him to sleep before putting him down.
This.
Franco Paul born 6/4/15 at 39 weeks. Mila Francesca born 10/19/13 at 37 weeks. Both born via C-Section after 6 years of fertility treatments, disappointments and losses. Love them!!
At bedtime I change her, feed her, and hold her for a while but that is mostly for me.
Most days go like this every now and then she will throw me a curve ball.

At night, we swaddle which he still loves. All i have to do is swaddle him and he'll go to sleep. I'd do it for naps, but they aren't allowed to swaddle at his daycare so I try to greet consistent with what he experiences there sincebthey put him down for naps more than I do.
Last week I finally found a pacifier that they seem to like, I've tried several brands but they never took them. They seem to like the Avent ones though and nap time has been a bit easier, I can swaddle them and give the paci and put them down drowsy with it. Sometimes I have to stand there for a few minutes to make sure the paci stays in until they are fully asleep, them I let it fall out. It beats walking around with them.
Now she is napping like a freaking champ! Whenever I see her rubbing her eyes I just change her and put her down in her crib. I usually give her the paci for naps but she has been taking it out. I just put the sleep sheep on and she falls asleep by herself.
Nights: nurse then place in her bassinet. When she wakes to eat, we nurse in bed and co-sleep the rest of the night.
Except nights are more like 1-3 hours. :-(
For bed she usually falls asleep nursing after bath/pjs change. She's totally asleep when we put her down.
Nurse to sleep for all. Nothing else goes. Ugh.
For naps she goes in the RnP unswaddled with her pacifier. Sometimes that puts her right out, but other times she'll start rubbing her eyes. In that case I hold her hands and that keeps her occupied and keeps them away from her face. She's usually out within minutes.
For bedtime we are doing the one arm swaddle in the RnP (slowly trying to break the swaddle habit and then the RnP habit). We feed her right before bed and that either completely knocks her out or makes her very sleepy. If she's not out then the pacifier will do the trick.
LO then (2 days) and now (1 year)
