Lucca arrived a little after midnight on Tuesday after my water broke at 37 weeks (last Sunday). We were about an hour and a half from home/the hospital so I was nervous (to say the least) but my husband is awesome in stressful situations and got us safely to the hospital in record time. There were a bunch of post-blizzard/post-snow moon/post-Valentine's Day babies arriving on Sunday/Monday so L&D was busy but the nurses and my midwife were amazing. Nothing went as planned but we tried our best to be flexible and everything worked out in the end.
He weighed in at 8 lbs exactly and is a very charming little guy. We're all home now and starting to get the hang of being a family of three.
Thank you all for helping me get through pregnancy. It seemed like every time I had a question (which happened a lot, as a FTM) someone else would have already posted it- I'm thankful for our community!
