Same here! Someone gifted us the sea horse and he has never been impressed. I bought the monkey, Thursday, and he already likes it wayyyy better. He finds it very chew-worthy.
Best part is that it plays wayyyy better music and sounds and lasts for 20 minutes! Puts him right to sleep as I rock/feed.
Yes! Soooo cute, that is why I had to get him! He has 2 smaller versions of that monkey and we have video of him batting at it at 2 weeks old. One version we take to entertain/let him chew on when we are out.
We bought DS the snugamonkey for Christmas. He loves that thing. He naps and sleeps with it. He hugs it as he falls asleep. I never tried the seahorse, I saw this right next to it and bought it because it was cuter haha!
Warning though, the music gets super creepy when the batteries are about to die. I was home alone with DS and all the sudden I heard this morbid freaky song and it was his snugamonkey. It scared the crap out of me!
DD HATES the seahorse...worst purchase I've made and DH won't let me forget it! Is the monkey music quieter? I feel like the music on seahorse is just way to loud and that's what freaks her out.
The rattle ball is on clearance at my target. Like $7.68, not sure why I didn't grab it. I also got DS a cute "book" that is like three pages but it reads the bed time story about snugamonkey to you.
Yes, it is way quieter music, more soothing, and does have 2 different volume levels and length of time music will play. I agree about the sea horse, in comparison.
I'll have to check around here for that ball and think he would love a book. He does love his monkeys.

If you open up the seahorse there is a volume control. It took us far too long to figure this out!

Adorable baby with his monkey!
