Xp 0-6: Feel like I'm crazy!

I've posted multiple times questions about formula types and baby gas and consto problems, so this should not be new news...but I am still struggling here with my DS and feel like I'm crazy! His ped tells me to not change a thing and it should go away by 7/8 weeks...he's 10 weeks now and the problems are still going strong!

1. clearly tells me when he's ready to eat, eager to start, but every 1 1/2 oz stops drinking, when I sit him up to burp he cries and squirms and chews on his fist, so I lay him back down to feed more and half the time he drinks again and the cycle repeats but half the time he continues to cry squirm and fuss until he is ready to drink more.

2. more often than not, has a distended belly which they tell me is bc of gas problems and when his diapram fully forms it will go away, but days when it's the biggest he has a semi-firm bulge off to the side and he will take an hour to eat his bottles and will spit up a lot those days

3. His weight gain seems odd to me...was 10th and 10th percentiles when nursing and when I decided to FF he shot up to 50th percentile in weight but still 10th in height and now at 10 weeks is still 15%  height and 75th in weight...I think he only weighs that much bc of his bloated belly and backed up bowels!

4. They told me to give him an ounce of apple juice a day but I switched to prune juice bc it helped him go every day but now that he shot up to drinking 5-6.6 oz each feeding (bc he sleeps 6 hrs straight at night and gets one less feeding maybe) it isn't keeping him going every day and he is miserable.

I am waiting for an on call ped to call me (for 2.5 hrs, hopefully they will eventually call) but I feel like I keep talking to them about the same things and feel like I'm going crazy!

Is he burping well when you burp him? If not, that could be part of it. If so, it may be that he's just a "fussy" eater. Definitely follow up with the dr, but it is possible that nothing is medically wrong and it is just gas. Best of luck!
