Any methods to clear nasal congestion ?

My baby boy is 2 weeks old. He has a lot nasal congestion. I tried the nasal tube to suck out the mucus from his nose; however he still has that nasal congestion noises even I don't see any mucus inside the nose, I think it is up high I'm the nose area. Any advices how to clear this ? Thanks much

I just took DD to the ped on Thursday for a cough. The ped said she had a cold and it could get worse before it gets better. She explained that if DD had any nasal congestion and was mucusy we could plug one side and use saline drops on the other side. I'm not sure that would be easy to do but if we get to that point we have something to try.

I like Boogie Mist. It even has a pleasant smell that I believe is the reason my baby allows me to spray his nose without fighting me. I do one squirt per nostril and out comes all this mess. It helped when he caught a little cold and now I plan to always have it with me.

We also did the humidifier (our pediatrician recommended cold over hot because when they get older they might be tempted to touch the steam and get hurt.) We also sat in a steamy bathroom. To keep from wasting water, we'd bathe him while in the steamy bathroom. That really helped him.

Cool mist humidifier, a drop of breastmilk up the nose to help loosen the mucous, use a nose Frida or your mouth rather than the nose sucker things that can damage the incredibly sensitive membranes in the nose.

Also give some tummy time after the saline. It helps push out all the stuff. Our pedi recommended this when she had a cold and it helped quite a bit

I called ped and was told nothing other than cont saline suction humidifier head elevate ; oy he struggles so much. Hope I can clear this for him soon
