How would you pronounce Jessiqua?

Jessiqua is that name of a girl in one of my classes.

I got her name wrong when I first called it out, so I'm just curious if anyone would say it correctly.

How would YOU say it?

At first glance I said Jess-Ih-Kwa in my head... Same as Jessica but with a "Kwa" sound at the end.

Then I thought, hmmm, maybe it's Juh-See-Kwa, with the emphasis on the middle syllable.

Even if they intended same pronunciation as Jessica, I'd want to say it with a qu sound each time I said it to show them how ridiculous it was they spelled it that way. I wouldn't actually, but Id want to. Now if they want the pronunciation with the qu, sigh. I guess at least they know how to spell

I'm assuming it's Jessica even though it looks like Jess-ee-kwa.
If you teach Language Arts you should definite pronounce it the way it looks even when talking to the parents, just to let them know you have a firm grasp on the English language, lol.
