Hey ladies! I need some cheap date ideas. What do you and you SO do when you get a night out? I've had a rough week at work and need something fun, so I'm going to make DH take me out, but we don't have a lot of extra cash. So, what would you go do? Thanks! ETA... I'm lame and just read +yummy+ post that is almost the same. If you have any other ideas, feel free to share. Sorry!

  • mini golf if they have any indoors in your area. we have glow in the dark golf here. never done it but sounds pretty cool. :)

I was going to suggest this exactly. DH and I a trying to do a date night this weekend and we're thinking about doing dinner and some mini golf!
  • DH and I have had some of best date nights for free or very cheap. Look up outdoor festivals (art, music, food) and walk around. We've also done a "food crawl"... We go to our favorite place for drinks first, then another restaurant to split an appetizer, a third place to share an entree, and a fourth place for dessert. It's not any more than a regular sit down restaurant (with a bill split four ways) but it takes longer and is more fun :)

  • Bowling is fun, going out for dinner and movie, staying at home and grilling then watch a redbox movie. Look on Groupon for local discounts and deals.
  • My DH and I love cooking together.  Its not a night out, and if you have a LO you'd have to get a sitter, but its really fun.  Go to a great grocery store like Whole Foods or Central Market with no recipe in mind and walk around looking at and tasting the produce and protein samples and create something together.  Then when you get home put on some good tunes and cook a great meal together. Then cuddle on the couch for dinner and watch a movie. Its a lot cheaper than going out and if you are drinking a little wine now and then you can without getting 'the look' from strangers:)

  • DH an I like going to minor league sports games. They are way cheaper than the pro games, you get to sit close up, and they are still really fun. Best part is that we can afford to eat and drink more because the tickets were cheap and parking is usually free!
