So I've been married for 1.5 years. My husband and I decided not to actively try for a baby, but to stop preventing it. I have never been on birth control because I've always hated it when I tried it, so we've used condoms and have just decided to stop using them. I'm happy with this, because I'm definitely ready for a baby, but I don't want to put a lot of stress on trying. I'm not checking my ovulation or anything like that. The only issue I'm having with it is that when it comes to going out with friends, etc. I'm stressing about having any drinks. I mean, it's not like I'm a heavy drinker or anything, but normally I'll definitely have a drink or two while out to dinner or at a friends house. We also aren't telling anyone else about "not trying, trying" so I also don't want to give it away and have family and friends speculating all the time.
Re: Stopped preventing pregnancy
Go out with your friends and have a drink. It will be fine, I promise.
