Now that she's not napping...

Hi Ladies,
I was pretty active on this board in pregnancy, but have mostly been lurking since I gave birth....hope you all are doing well!

So DD has gradually been dropping her nap, I kept pushing it for a long time because she just so clearly needed it. Now I think that she is ok with out it though. Now what?  I thought quiet time in her room, but she climbs out of her pnp and knows how to open doors.  She can climb over a gate, and with those door handle safety things, she just bangs on the door, screaming and crying, ultimately waking up DD2.  If she is not confined, she is not still for more than a minute.  Even if she doesn't need the quiet time, I DO!  How do any of you deal with this, maintaining your sanity with out nap or quiet time to break up the day?

  • I'm sorry you're having a hard time. DS is still in his crib and if he doesn't nap he'll just sit and talk. I guess I would just keep with a routine and stick with it. Might have to do some "nap" training which sucks but hopefully would help.
