Hello everyone,
I'm new here. I started on the knot then the nest and now that DH and I have baby on the brain I thought I'd join here. We got married in July and have lived together for about 5 years. We are still renting while we save for a house and try to get career related jobs for our degrees. He is a child Psychologist bound to go to grad school before he can get a good job and I am a clinical Psychologist with a focus on industrial organizational psychology who is bound to take over walmart or something. (Lol)
I was taking Depo for a few months before the wedding but stoped in September because I gained 30lbs (yeah that wasn't a happy day when I got on the scale). The doctor said it would take a few months before I leveled back out and could conceive. 5 months later and I still have no period and no baby. I'm not distraught or anything, we are OK with waiting, I just didn't know it was so hard to get pregnant! My parents used scare tactics and I was convinced for the longest time that as soon as I stop taking BC I would get pregnant. Nope, not true, it's much harder than that. I'm glad I found this forum to get some advice though!
TTGP since September 2013. All cycles were annovulatory due to Depo.

Re: Getting Pregnant isn't Easy (I'm new here)
I also suggest reading Taking Charge of Your Fertility by Toni Weschler, which will help you learn how your body works and ways to increase your chances if conceiving. You can also visit fertilityfriend.com to learn about it.
For some people getting pregnant is a breeze, for others it isn't. It can take an average health couple a year to conceive, and you only have a 20% chance per month. GL!
