I failed my 1 hr and my 3 hr by only 2 pts. I had to go to diabetes training classes and now have to watch what I eat and test my insulin 4 times a day. I was pretty upset about it at first and now it is not so bad. Good luck!
I failed both the one and three hour tests by a few points. I wasn't considered to be in the high risk category for GD - they attributed it to the triplet pregnancy.
I had to modify my diet to reduce carbs, keep track of what I ate and monitor my glucose level. That lasted for about 2 weeks until my doctor realized that I really could eat what I wanted to and my glucose was always fine. After those 2 weeks, all I did was cut back on the apple juice I was drinking. I remember eating a ton of potatoes and an ice cream sundae one night and I was still below the level I needed to be.
I had gd. I was a little overweight when I got pregnant but never have problems with diabetes. I didn't get it till about 26 weeks. I had to do the prick test 4 times a day. Around 2 weeks before I delivered the levels weren't able to be controlled by diet and I had to take insulin daily. It was fine then. I delivered my girls at 36 weeks and 3 days. They are perfectly healthy and the gd was gone days after delivering.
