DH suggested this and I thinkfof a super hot guy I knew in college but I typically don't like names of this sort (trade names). Thoughts?

I used to work with a guy named Tanner, my age. He was a decent guy so I have a good association. I think it's cute.

nope but it's not like I had a relationship with him and actually he knew him as well so I don't see that as an issue. It's just my only association.

I strongly dislike it.  I think of it in terms of how tan someone is.

This is exactly why I don't like it either. Tanner, Hunter, Mason...I just can't.

I hate it. My understanding is that this was a particularly gruesome and smelly profession. Not appealing as a name at all.

Not a fan, but the only Tanners I've known have been white trash/Redneck types, so I have that association.

There's an attorney at work named Tanner, which is a relatively positive association.  I'm mostly indifferent regarding the name.
