Night Diapers that work

Hi,

With my first son and up until recently with my 2nd,  I was a huge fan of Huggies Overnights.  However in the past month my 8 month is completely soaking wet from the diapers leaking thru.  Pajamas, sleep sac, and sheets are soaking.  So I went up a size in the overnights, no luck.  The worst part is it wakes him up being so wet. I've also tried Pampers overnights, which are horrible.   Has anyone tried doubling up diapers? maybe plastic training pants (do they still make those?) over his night diaper.   Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.  Thanks!

  • Thanks, but I did read that one, and already tried the suggestions, was wondering if anyone had any other ideas.
  • We use swaddlers and have no issue. No matter what is suggested, they're not guaranteed to work for you so I suggest to buy a small pack of a kind and try that. Especially if you've tried all the options that have been suggested below..

  • I just posted on the other thread. Bambo Nature diapers are the best. They are expensive, though.

  • Luvs overnight have never failed us!
  • I was recently having the same problem. I asked a ton of friends for suggestions and this is what I got.....
Babies R Us sells a diaper insert that will help absorb more. Another friend said to use an unscented pad (cheaper route).

I figured before doing either of those I would just try a different diaper. I chose the Huggies Overnights and we LOVE them. LO is sleeping through the night with no wet clothes at 2am. During the day I use Swaddlers.  You said you tried the huggies overnights so maybe try the inserts. Good Luck!

Agree with PP. DD usually wears them at night and we've yet to have issues. Is it possible you need to go up a size?

  • I'm not over here very much but do have a 7 month old.

We had a similar problem and found that we identified she was leaking out of the front. When we put the Huggies Overnights on, we made sure it was adjusted so it was higher in the front. It made a huge difference. You might give it a shot before throwing in the towel with the Huggies.

My toddler is a heavy wetter as well, and we tried several brands - the Huggies Overnights have been the best so far.

    Good luck!

  • We use pampers dry for night time and the only time we've had a problem was when she kicks around so much before falling asleep sometimes it would loosen up around her legs, so we just made sure to double check how tight it is on before she actually falls asleep.

Is your baby a big mover? That could be the issue you're having.
