Re: Colours?

  • DD has known her colors since she was 18ish months. It was pretty easy. She couldn't say them that young but would pick up the correct block if I said "hand me the red block" etc. She often ask me about yellow and for a while she had an aversion to Red because of one her books.

He knows blue, red, yellow, green, white, black, purple and pink. We just started talking about colors in regular conversation. Daycare works on it too.

eTa: so yes it's been pretty easy but I've been laid back about it.

  • My LO knows her colors. We practice using books, puzzles, toys, etc. For awhile she called everything blue or red. Finally one day everything clicked and she knows them. It wasn't hard- just needed lots of repetition.

  • Yes, I used an app on the iPad and we would go over them a few times a day. While playing or out I would always point out the colors of everything we saw. He learned them pretty quick.
