MOPS groups - age range?

Someone on here suggested finding a local MOPS group to get out and be more social. However, their name stands for mothers of "preschoolers"... Has anyone ever attended one of these meetings with your baby (DS is 4 months)?  Or are the kids truly of preschool age and would it be awkward for me to go?

My aunt keeps inviting me to a local meeting.  I'm going next week.  She said there are tons of babies and that she is one of the sitters (watches the kiddie room).  I think each group does their own thing.
