Cramps???

Hey ladies so last night I got home from work around 6ish. I stand all day at work and was so tired when I got home. I'm only 5 weeks 3 days today but had some pretty strong cramps after dinner last night. So tmi I even got a bit of the poops and my lower back was killing me. I took it easy and stayed on the couch and went to bed early but for a good two hours the cramping was pretty strong. Scared the crap out of me but woke up this morning and felt much better. Little cramping again but not strong. Did any of your cramping get intense at times during the first six weeks... Also no blood so that's a good sign!

I had cramping on and off for the first 2 trimesters and sometimes it did feel like menstrual cramps, esp in the first tri

Yes, I had a lot of cramping during my first tri. I felt like I was going to get AF all the time. From my experience, seems normal!

Lacy I had lots of cramping around that time due to stretching uterus and ligaments etc. I also had very strange digestion early in my pregnancy...weeks 5-8 in particular. Sounds normal, just try to take it easy and eat as well as you can to help your body adjust. Fiber, fruits, veggies, yogurt, etc. I started taking antibiotic early on to help my digestion, and it really helped. Hang in there!

Thanks so much girls this makes me feel so much better. It's just a very panicked feeling!!!!! I can barely focus at work with my clients and over analyzing every little feeling. I was doing so good and being very relaxed and last night just got me all worked up.

Yup I did too! I had a few that took my breath away, they were really intense. It's probably your LO just stretching out and cozying up for the long haul!

I had a lot of cramping throughout first tri, and some of the time it did feel strong like menstrual cramps.  Even now I still get them occasionally, but usually it's only after I have an O. ;-)

I find being dehydrated brings them on more and not going pee regularly or when you have the urge! Also, constipation has brought mine on too. Eating small and healthy helped.

Yeah I kinda ate like crap yesterday and tried pounding the h2o later in the evening to make up for not drinking enough thru the day.... Prob those things combined was not a good mix... So I'm eating really good today and small amounts!!

Do you girls know if it's ok to take a bath now!??? They said not to before beta but what about before ultrasound? I wanted to take one so bad last night but didn't want to risk it!

Lacy, I wouldn't take a bath because you don't want to raise your core temp and immersing yourself in hot water can do that. I haven't had a bath since transfer. And while I miss them, I do enjoy a nice shower with yummy smelling things to make up for it! Ask your OB, but that's the advice I've had from both my RE and OB alike.

Technically, my RE said I COULD take a bath at like 93 degrees, but I tried that and it felt freezing. Not worth it at all!
