Funeral/ILs/sleeping arrangements etc update

While my work email loads I'm popping in real fast but will try to catch up on the board later today!

The weekend was fine.  BIL/SIL ended up staying at a hotel Saturday and Sunday night and even though they seemed a little standoffish when they first got there, it passed.  The kids had a blast playing together (nephew turned two on Halloween and Aiden is closing in on 4 so they just ran and jumped and ran and jumped.  We were all tired just watching them).  I thought my kids would be easy peasy for the babysitter since they're daycare kids and usually love everyone whereas my BIL's kids are nervous around new people when their parents aren't around.  Right.  Apparently Quinn screamed to the point of near vomiting the whole time we were gone for the wake.  God bless the babysitter and her mother (my ILs' friend).  They never let on to me and the mother actually stayed with her daughter for most of the time, missing a good chunk of the wake just so things ran smoothly.  Thankfully, he was a lot better the next day for the funeral.

Ah, the funeral.  I, dumbass that I am, got sidetracked talking to my SIL out the car window about "are we parking here? where are we supposed to go?" etc. that I completely didn't hear the car dinging at me that the lights were on.  So out we come from the church to a dead car.  Fabulous.  My FIL loves me so much though that he keeps finding a way to make it my husband's fault lol
