We're team green and expecting #2. We already have a two year old DD, Eliza Leah, whose middle name is the same as mine and my mom's. I love that her middle name has so much familial significance, and I'm really struggling coming up with a possible MN for #2 if it's a girl that has a similar depth to it. I'd love some help on this!
So, for a FN we've narrowed it down to either Caroline or Greta. We'll decide when we meet the baby.
Family names we can draw from:
DH's mom - Mary Ann
My mom - Deanna Leah
Grandmas - Gertrude, Rosalie, Mary
I've thought about doing Anna as well, as a combination of our moms' names, but that doesn't sound right with either FN we've picked. I also like the virtue names, particularly Joy. And a name related to the sea, like Marina, is something we'd seriously consider. And biblical names are something we'd love to make use of and consider as well.
So, what do you think? Do any of those options stand out to you as having potential? Any suggestions or inspiration for me? What other options are there??
EDIT: I should add our last name is two syllables and starts with an M... similar to Meritt.
Re: Girls name help
Caroline Ann
Mary Caroline would be a cute double name.
I have always loved the combo Caroline Mary, so that gets my vote.

Caroline Mary is by far my favorite.
And it would be great to honor your DH's mom with this LO.
