Thrush

Pretty sure LO has thrush. White patches on her tongue and the roof of her mouth. Rash all up her neck onto her chin. It came on over the past 36 hours. We have an appt for her at 8am tomorrow.

Anyone have experience with thrush? Anything we should watch out for?

We both had thrush, for weeks.  It took several different treatments to eradicate it.  DS, months later, is still battling the yeast rash on his bum and in his neck, despite lotrimin, nystatin, triple paste AF, baking soda, and diflucan. 

The most important thing is that you both are treated concurrently, otherwise you just end up passing it back and forth.

We had it at around 10 weeks.  I gave him nystatin medication for 14 days and I took nystatin cream on my nipples.  It definitely cleared with him and I'm pretty sure it cleared with me pretty easily too.  It is not fun.

Thanks ladies! She is exclusively ff now so i don't think I have it. She was at the doc today and she said it is def thrush. LO had a cold and her 4 month shots last week so her immune system was compromised... I guess this is common. Doc said the rash and the white in her mouth is the same bacteria... Prescribed an oral spray and a topical cream. Should clear up in a week or so. I appreciate the feedback!
