I have been lurking here for awhile and decided to finally post ... anyway my husband and I have been talking names lately and I am IN LOVE with the name Ayanna for a girl. With that said I want to make sure when people see it they know how to pronounce it. So how would you pronounce that name? Also what are you thoughts on the name itself? Our child is mixed race and I want a unique name but not off the wall crazy. Thought? Opinions? thanks

It's nms but I wouldn't completely side eye it. What about Ariana?

I would pronounce it "Ay" like in "hay" and then ann-uh. AY-ann-uh.

I'm not a fan. What about Aviana, Adria, Ariana, or Adriana?

I'd also say eye-AHN-uh. It's... not my favorite. I've never heard it before and it feels a tad made up to me. Sorry.

Ay (rhymes with say)-ah-nah or Eye-ah-nah...I would guess one or the other but I wouldn't be confident I was saying it correctly. Actually, if I saw this name on a class list I would probably guess both to be safe and wait to be corrected. I like Arianna or Adrianna better.
