Even though it was faster (6 hours to the minute from start to finish) it was so much harder. Expecting an epi and having it not take effect was hellish.
Better. I expected labor to last forever and to push for hours. I also wanted to go med free but was so upset over not being able to reach MH that I said screw it and got the epi around 6cm. Contractions until that point were rough but bearable. Recovery was much better than expected.
I voted harder because I hadn't expected to be pushing for over 3hrs. I dilated quickly, she just wasn't in the right position. I also had not expected the horrific pain from a vacuum assisted delivery.
This, but I only pushed for 2 hours. I also wasn't excepting to need pitocin after going into labor on my own. Nor was I prepared for how suddenly and how much worse the contractions would be once the pitocin was started. It was so much worse than I expected I'm considering not having another baby. I am a big wuss.

I put easier. Although I was induced, I never got to feel what I would say was gut wrenching pain. My oldest sister kept telling me to get the epidural before I couldn't sit still because of pain and I'm glad I did. I was nervous about the whole process, but everything went fine.
Harder. I didn't think labor could be as bad as it was with my son, but of course it was. I should have known, haha. My epi stopped working, and I went through transition and pushing with no pain meds, which I absolutely did not want, or expect. I did push her out even quicker than I did my son (2 pushes with her, 10 minutes with him), so at least that was a little better.
I guess easier, well the delivery part but the entire labor was harder than I thought. I was in labor for 24 hours. Which I was home with contractions for 15 hours and then went to the hospital. It was a very exhausting 15 hours of my life. I did get the epidural and with that everything I thought was easy. . Recovery not so much with a 3rd degree episiotomy.
