Nickname for Harrison?

Hi there,

I really like the name Harrison but hate the nn Harry. Any thoughts on alternate nicknames? Or should I just scrap this name because LO will just end up called Harry.

Does he have to go by a NN? Gabriel doesn't go by anything but Gabriel. We don't care for "Gabe" so we just don't use it.

Does he have to have a nn?? I know a 2-year-old Harrison and have never heard him be called Harry.

Never heard my friend's son Harrison called anything but Harrison.

A possible nn could be Sonny if you insist. I like PP's suggestion of Hank.

I think Harry is the only natural NN, but that being said-- I owuld only call a child what his parents introduced him as. So if you do like Harrison, I don't see it as a problem duting baby/ toddler years.

What he decides to go by as an older child/ adult will be out of your control though.

FWIW, I think Harry is darling.

Lol this made be laugh. Thanks for the input ladies. I don't need a nickname and it looks like the ones you know don't get called Harry by everyone anyway. I do like the idea of Harris if it needs to be shortened. Thanks!
