Is RSV a huge deal for older toddlers? DS had RSV a week after starting daycare at 3 months. It's scary in a tiny baby because their breathing looks so labored.
In older kiddos and adults, I think it appears to be just a bad cold. I read that almost every kid has been infected with RSV by the age of 2. I think its just the little babies that you need to be worried about.
For DS at 3 months old, we were in the doctor's office on a Friday when he got diagnosed with RSV. He was back to daycare on Monday.
Yes your right it usually affect ages 0-2 and older adults. And the symptoms are just a really bad cold.
However, for us DS already does regular breathing treatments for respiratory problems. When he gets things like this it's VERY hard for him to get over it. I will just have to make sure he takes his vitamins and gets lots of vitamin C!!!

Oh gosh, I had no idea your DS has respiratory issues! Yes, I see why you would be very concerned!

Lol of course you didn't know. I realize that for many with older toddlers it's NBD I promise I am not that mother who is a freak about any and all illnesses. Just the ones that I know will bother us.
