High-Risk Pregnancy

Post-Myomectomy Mom

I had on in 8/2013, and I am now (as of today) 21w 2d pregnant.   As a result, I am high risk as doctors are monitoring the strength of my uterus wall.   Anyone here conceived after having a myomectomy?

Re: Post-Myomectomy Mom

  • Yes, but mine was in May 2012 so I had a long time for my uterus to heal. I still have to deliver via c-section because the OB is not sure the uterus can handle contractions. My RE at the time thought it was safe to start trying 3 months after the surgery.

  • I had several large myomas removed 2 years ago, and I'm due in May.  Due to the previous surgery I have to have a Csection.  I've got at least one that they're keeping an eye on right now.  Hasn't caused me any other issues (I hate having the Csection!).  My first trimester I had some pretty strong menstrual cramping type pain that my doc said was probably fibroid pain. Everything has been going well otherwise.  Good luck!
