I am losing my mind with this itch! I mentioned it at my last appointment but my Dr. was not overly concerned. I can't sleep and it is making my nerves very bad. Anyone else going through this?
Yes! It was just my boobs and face but the last couple nights, every time I'm getting comfortable I start itching and twitching! It is so annoying... I'm only 27 weeks though. I hope it doesn't get worse!
I had it with my son and it was awful, I did make the doctor heck it wasn't anything serious and when we found out it wasn't all I could do was use tons of lotions, etc. I even wore mittens to bed since I was scratching my legs in my sleep, LOL. I will tell you it goes away once you have the kid. Hugs and hope it gets better!
I had something similar at 33 weeks and the doctor told me I suffered from PUPPS. Told me there wasn't really anything to cure it until you have birth. Some websites recommend you drink dandelion root and believe me that was a lifesaver. I am now itch free! You might want to give that a try
There is a rare condition called cholestasis, a liver disease that occurs during late pregnancy. A friend of mine experienced it - severe itching with no welts. A simple blood test can determine it. She had to take high doses of, I believe, a certain steroid, but she delivered healthy twins.

I was itchy at 34 weeks and the midwife mentioned Bio-Oil, which is working really well. I also have noticed that my skin has been getting really dry lately so I've been moisturizing like crazy!
I'm at 32.5 weeks and have had it all over my body for about 3 weeks. For me I tried lotion, benedryl and an external cotizone cream. The only thing that has helped is ice packs where I massively itch, getting my husband to give me massages and going to bed before around 9 so I'm asleep before the witching hour (it seems to get worse at night). I did get the liver test because my sister had the same thing. It came back in concussive so I will be going to a maternal health specialist.
Re: 37 weeks- all over body itch
Then we had you.
Now we are complete.
I have been using aveeno products including mixing their moisturizer with their itch relief cream and it helps, have to apply sometimes twice a day.

She was at risk of full liver failure and loosing the baby. It's one of those things that stop almost as soon as the baby is out.
I'd get bloods done to be sure.
