How long have you been a regular on this board?

So, I meant to explain that I have been curious about this for while and after the mod vote only got around 20 votes, I thought it might be interesting and fun to get an overview of the members.  I wanted to include this at top, but I guess I hit save before I was ready and then I couldn't go back and edit.    

But in any rate, if you'll indulge, I'd love to see the results.

I actually had to guess. I don't know when I started regularly posting, but I lurked for a little before that and was dealing with 2IF long before that.

I know there is less than 20 regulars on the board. I consider a regular anyone who's been posting actively for 3+ months, so it's not like I have ridiculous regular standards.

Been here since I started treatments in November but I started lurking in October when I finally decided to start the medicated cycles after five months on metformin.

I've been around since January, but never posted. Then I changed my name (bc my old one sucked and was holdover from the knot years and years before that and a monicker that Symbolized silence to me bc I never commented on anything) got some balls and started commenting in June13. I party fouled and never intro'd but with as much crap as I have in my siggy now I make up for it. I only counted since June since I was actually on board and communicating. I don't think lurking counts bc no one knew me even though I kind of knew them.

I had to go back and check...and I intro'ed in Oct 2013, so I voted for 3-6 months.  But, to be honest I did more lurking than posting for the first few months.  Even now I wouldn't consider myself a "regular" even though I am posting much more regularly?  After the mini-exodus last week with 4 awesome BFP's I am guessing that some of us like myself should "step it up" a little bit to keep things lively around here

Ha! I was thinking this exact same thing.  That's part of the reason I posted this poll.  I actually have a few questions in mind that I thought I'd post…  Maybe I'll post another next week.

I'm curious, how long do you need to post before you are no longer doing a drive by if you get a BFP. I like it here but am hoping to graduate at some point! I'm only about 3 weeks into posting so pretty new still.

So, I marked more than a year, but I've been kinda off and on. I've been posting to this board since sometime 2011, but have taken breaks when things were not moving along IF-wise.

I'd say as long as you are actively posting on the board multiple times a week, and as long as you don't START posting in your 2ww (which is a huge no-no!). But with that said, I think it's to be expected that the bfp party for those that have been here longer will be bigger and more enthusiastic than the newbies. I'm happy for anyone's bfp, but if I "know" you more I'm more excited. Kwim?

If you get a Bfp you don't HAVE to post it anywhere really. You could simply intro on your corresponding BMB or on first Tri, etc.

There was one girl that intro'ed smack dab in the middle of IVF cycle and literally graduated 2 weeks later but, first blew the board up with pee stick pics. It was awful.

Anyway. If you get a Bfp this cycle and posted it here I would probably consider it drive by. However, if you stick around for a month or two and GIVE SUPPORT then you will most likely receive sincere congrats from myself and the rest of us. Actually, we are pretty laid back. I'm on another board that considers it drive by if you haven't actively participated for a year or longer.

That is my take on it.

But ask @mrscastillo as I have a feeling she will eventually become the mod

Nope, you answered my question. I do feel that announcing now would be the equivalent of shouting to a room full of strangers. I like you people but don't know you. I hope to never get to regular status (don't we all.)

I have been on Secondary IF since 2012, blah.  Not many who have been here this long.  I used to post more but feel like the only thing I can offer is expertise on failed IVF's.  I do read the posts and wish everyone well in my heart.

I think for many this is fortunately a place they do not visit very long so while Intro/BFP posts are a bit much, a few posts and BFP could be a common appearance and not shunned.  

Why not cheer everyone on that comes here and is able to leave without too much heartache, or maybe I am just hoping some of that cheer wears off on me, lol.

@efhoping2010 you've been around longer then me. I guess we're OG's. I've been around since July 2012. I lurked before that but our official cycle with testing was July 2012. So over a year and a half. UGH!

Iloveshanej Ha!  We are OG's  Not such a proud thing to be though.  I think I have reached a new level of pathetic, lately I have been going on that web site where you vote on whether HPT's are positive or negative.  I guess I like remembering the feeling of excitement of seeing those two lines and also being naive to everything that can go wrong.

I'm stuck in the blue box....ahhh. Yeah, it's not really something to be proud of but I know what you mean. I have looked at that site too. I have also been buying cloth diapers. I wish I could be blissfully ignore sometimes.
