Has anyone ever been paid or paid someone else to do a webinar?

I'm wondering the rate ranges for this. Assuming 1 hour-ish since that is pretty standard for a webinar. What is reasonable for someone to ask or offer?
(I get that there are lots of variables but I am finding ZERO info so anything is better than nothing).
Thanks!

  • I'm usually a lurker here....

If you are talking about paying the person delivering the webinar (i.e. the speaker), in my field we often have a physician as the speaker. In that case, they would get paid approx $250-$500. It would vary based on the prep time required. If they have to write the presentation, we pay more. If we are providing content and they just need to be comfortable with it, then we pay a little less.

I have had someone request a really high amount and my thinking was more along the lines of what you all said, so before I pretty much turn it down, I wanted to be sure I wasn't in a total cloud.
