Weeks/Fruit: 28 weeks, Eggplant

Rants/Rave/AW: I'm now on a 2-week check-up schedule with my OB.

QOTW: Labor plans. Do you have a birth plan, birth photographer, who will be joining you etc.??

We don't have a full plan written out yet. It will include not notifying our family right away (except probably my sisters); not allowing any visitors during labor and having no information given out by the hospital including even our presence or room number; hoping to go at least to 5cm before considering an epidural; DH being able to watch LO actually being born; several hours before we potentially have visitors. It will be just DH and I. No birth photographer, unless they let DH take some quick pictures as LO is being born.

GTKY: Do you have any pets? Anything you are doing to prepare them?

We have a dog that one of my sisters will be looking after. DH will try to make a trip home the night before we come home so he can bring a blanket with LO's scent on it for the pup to get used to.

Weeks/fruit: 29/acorn squash

Rants/raves/AW: saw baby on a 3d scan this week and we're definitely having a beautiful little girl. She's even got hair already, which explains the heartburn. I think she's gonna have thick, wavy hair like her daddy. My hair is like brown smoke.

QOTW: my labour plan is "give me the drugs", but I'm still not sure about an epidural. I wonder if its more hassle than its worth. DH will be the only person in the delivery room. I have no interest in letting other people see me in that state unless they're medically qualified. SIL has offered to come if I need her, so I may take her up on that.

GTKY: we have no pets, so this won't be a problem for us.

Rants/Rave/AW: My shower is this saturday, I'm flying to my hometown on wednesday night. I'm excited!

QOTW: Labor plans. Do you have a birth plan, birth photographer, who will be joining you etc.?? The "plan" is to get the baby out the safest way possible. I want an epidural ASAP. Only DH and I in the room, no visitors for a few hours so we can have family time. 

GTKY: Do you have any pets? Anything you are doing to prepare them?

Two Boston Terrier's; not really doing anything. They're pretty calm so I'm not worried.

Weeks/Fruit: 27 wks - rutabega

Rants/Rave/AW: Starting a new job this week so I plan to be exhausted.

QOTW: Labor plans. Do you have a birth plan, birth photographer, who will be joining you etc.??

Definitely an epidural and I'll pretty much take anything that will help the baby come faster and safer.  No one else in the room besides DH during active labor.  No birth photographer.  I'm sure the grandparents will take plenty!

GTKY: Do you have any pets? Anything you are doing to prepare them?  No pets to worry about.

Rants/Rave/AW: I'm kind of crapping my pants at only having 11 weeks left. We've done absolutely nothing yet. Our first baby shower is this coming Friday though!

QOTW: Labor plans. Do you have a birth plan, birth photographer, who will be joining you etc.??

I'm planning on doing my best to have a med free labor and delivery. I've been studying Hypnobabies at home to use as a coping technique. It's kind of hokey but I also love it. Super relaxing and positive. No birth plan yet. I talked to my midwife and most
of what I'd put in there is stuff that she/the hospital already do so I may not write one.

GTKY: Do you have any pets? Anything you are doing to prepare them?

We have a Basset hound. She's the most laid back dog on the face of the planet and she loves kids so we're not planning anything in particular to prepare her.

Weeks/Fruit: 27 weeks. Hello third tri!

Rants/Rave/AW: had a great time cohosting the bridal shower for a very good friend. Everything was beautiful and she totally deserves it. We are also going to get our crib today and my mom bought us our dresser this week! On top of that my grandparents got us our travel system. This kid is all set!

QOTW: Labor plans. Do you have a birth plan, birth photographer, who will be joining you etc.?? I don't have a lot in this area. I am going with no one the photographer. I'll have DH take the pictures. Our birth plan is: 1. Stay at home as long as possible. 2. Avoid a c section. 3. Get an epidural. Beyond that, I really don't know.

GTKY: Do you have any pets? Anything you are doing to prepare them? Yes. We have 2 Welsh Corgis that are very spoiled. We started crating them at night recently so that they are used to it when the baby comes. DH will bring home a blanket after LO arrives.

Weeks/Fruit: 29- acorn squash

Rant: Well I failed my 1hr glucose test. Not holding out much hope if passing my 3 hr since I've had gd with a previous pg so I'm just pokin away at my fingers checking sugars...super fun!

QOTW: I've never had a birth plan. I like to play it by ear. Ive had about every labor and delivery experience excpet a home birth- which I am totally not wanting! So my goal is to make it to the hospital as get an epi (I've done natural- uh not again)! Only DH and I will be there and I usually invite family up after about an hr or two of just us time and possibly a shower. No birth photog for us- if love to have one- but eh I can manage a few images since that is my other job.

GTKY: we have the world's naughtiest dog- but he's been great with all of our children so we aren't doing anything. I may have DH bring home a blanket used on the baby so he can get used to the smell.
