Shit got real Sunday? Can we start this?

Now that most of us are in 3rd Tri, I think it's time for a shit's real sunday post. 

I have 2:

-my baby shower is THIS saturday. I realize it's a lot sooner than most of ya'll's but I didn't want to have to fly much into my 3rd tri. 

-we ordered our crib and changing table yesterday. say whaaat? You mean we're actually going to have a baby to put in this crib soon? 

T-Minus 91 days for me!

I told my H last night we only had 77 days left. His response "what's that like 5 months" I said uhhhhh no I'm almost at the end of month 7, he yells out "HOLY SHIT ARE YOU SURE????" Yea shit got real for him lol

I went baby shopping yesterday and got all the essentials for the little guy.....that got real that oh man I'm gonna have two kids soon.

I ordered the changing table yesterday and that means I officially have all of the furniture for his room!  And I am down to like 87 days!  Plus, he was moving around so much yesterday that my whole belly was moving.

I have 10 weeks left tomorrow (they won't let me go past 38w with twins). My shower was yesterday and I have 2 cribs set up right now full of gifts from yesterday. Shit got very real all of a sudden. After being so scared about losing these babies, I'm really going to be bringing babies home in 70 days!!

I am dying right now! Hilarious!! Last night I might of freaked out a little bit thinking about the fact that I'm actually going to be a mom and responsible for another human being in about 3 months! I mean we planned this and I'm really excited but I'm kind of scared as well!

We moved our 2.5 year old out of the crib last night. Now seeing an empty nursery makes me realize it will have a new occupant in May. But I am only just 26 weeks and 14 weeks still kinda feels long for me(:

Last night MH and I were talking names and getting frustrated. He was all "let's table this for a month." I'm all "um, and then what? We'll be at the same point where we were last month. And then a month after that we could very well have a real baby!" He's all whaaAAAAA?

I just finalized our family vacation plans for this summer and I had to include "an infant" on the cabin rental contract. I will be taking AN INFANT to the cabin in a few months. An infant that belongs to me. Holy shit.

Our hospital your is today. Also, I just figured out my c-section will likely be 13 wks from Tuesday. Ok 13 wks...it's getting real.

My c- section date is just 11 weeks away but it still doesnt seem real yet.i think after we finnish her room it will seem real.im gonna have 2 under 2 in 11 weeks.wow!

Not directly related to this pregnancy, but DD's big girl bed will be here next week which means we'll be moving her out of the crib in the next couple of weeks.  Which means I can start prepping the nursery for a baby!

I realized we only have 4 weeks to get the house/nursery prepped to be seen by visitors for the shower (no, not planning my own but they're bringing it to me because I'm on bed rest). And there's so much to do (and so little of it I can do myself) before we can even contemplate letting 20+ people roam through the house.

On the plus side, nursery painting finished yesterday! Next weekend my helpers may start moving furniture back in there.

This morning I started researching pediatricians in our area and have a list to call on Tuesday (after the holiday) to schedule some meetings. Also have to call to schedule our birthing and parenting classes now that I have DH's March schedule. Shit is definitely getting real!!!

My father lives in Ireland and he called me to tell me he'd purchased a plane ticket for the end of April and planned to be here for baby girl's birth. He's so excited and seems completely prepared while DH and I are like, "WTH- how did April sneak up on us like this?!"

It seems like it was just yesterday we were celebrating NYE, how is it almost May?

Friday night we went to order the last few pieces of furniture for the nursery. When they said the expected ship date for the chair and ottoman would be in 8-10 weeks I kind of freaked. The idea that a chair will take about the same amount of time to make and ship as remainder of my pregnancy seemed wild. 

We also met our friend's baby yesterday, who was born last Monday. Holding her made me excited and really ready to meet my little guy.

I'm flying home for a baby shower next weekend too. Our "baby bootcamp" is in two weeks. We just recently picked our daycare and pediatrician. Time is going way too fast, and this poor boy doesn't have a name yet!

I will hit 30 weeks on Thursday. That's a pretty "shit got real" moment.

Oh, and my BFF who is hosting one of my showers gave me a whole bag of presents last night because she was too excited to wait. Like sleepers, and swaddles, and wearable blankets. Ho-lee shit, there is going to be a tiny person to wear these not too long from now.

We have our hospital tour on Thursday. I'm sure shit will get real again that day too.

We went to BRU and did the GTE and got Baby Girl's infant seat and ordered her the Rock N Play. 3. I will be doing hospital registeration at this Friday's appt (btw I started my bi-weeklys).

I just ordered the last of the nursery decor from Etsy this morning. Down to 83 days left and the crib & recliner have yet to arrive (should be sometime this week!). So much to do and so little time left to do it in!

We go to brunch once a month and after brunch today we only have two more into the baby is here! Plus I am down to 70 some days. So much still to do!

I read the weekly summary on my pregnancy app to DH yesterday, which says that LO is 16 inches long and about 3 lbs. He was like "holy shit thats the size of our cat."

That and hitting 30 weeks next Thurs has me totally freaked out.

Gah!  For me that means only 7 weeks at the most left (my due date is May 1st, but having twins, don't kick me out pretty please ).  DH and I got the nursery all done except for hanging some decor on the walls.  Between that and my day spent in L&D last week, shit got really real.  In fact, I'm packing my hospital bad today.  Just in case.

Shit got really real last week: Tuesday I met my leave replacement and introduced her to my classes.  Friday my OB told me that as of now I have to start coming in every 2 weeks.  I scheduled my next appointment and still can't wrap my head around the fact that I will be 30 weeks.  And our hospital tour is scheduled for next Tuesday.

I hit 30 weeks this Friday and that is inducing some panic attacks, but the 2 things that really got me are when my ob fussed at me on Tuesday for not already being pre-registered at the hospital and last night I was looking at fabric to make a quilt for baby boy. I found some I liked, but figured I could go to another fabric store in a week or two and get some more. Then it'd take a few weeks to lay it out and get it pinned, just in my free time at night. Then maybe a month or so to get it sewed and backed and how i want it. Oh wait. I'll have a baby by then. Holy **** I don't have time to make it before he gets here.

Went to labor and delivory today to get a rhogam shot with my fiancé. As we're were waiting for the nurse we FINALLY settled on a name we love. Also there was a women screaming and delivoring her baby in the background so we got to hear her scream and then the babies 1st cries. We both have never heard or experienced anything like that. It was pretty cool. The nurses kept coming by and telling us she was abnormally loud and not to worry because my fiancés eyes were popping out of his head. He just kept saying that's nothing wait till they have to deal with me. Lol

I also just realized I start my 2 week OB appts as well. And I get my Rh shot next week. I remember back when I was like 8wk and my OB was like, "yeah we won't have to worry about that [the Rh shot] for 5 or so months." when did 5 months happen?

My husband thought I was like 4 or so months a week ago.. I was like no.... >.<

My due date is May 14th but I told DH it would be awesome for her to be born on Mothers Day!.. He told me to hold her in there (in a joking voice) till fathers day! That would be 10months and 1 day! crazy man =P
