Anyone else feel hungover on stims?

I've done two days of stims now, and I had forgotten how much they take out of me. I wake up headachy and cotton mouthed, feeling like I spent the whole night out partying. Don't I wish! Is this just me? I drink tons of water and get plenty of electrolytes. Any other tips for this? Coffee and ibuprofen call my name intensely on mornings like this, but alas!

Awww, sorry to hear your stims are beating you up! I find that mine make me groggy after they've been administered. I get really tired within 15 minutes and have a hard time focusing my eyes. I take them at night, so I just go to bed rather than fight it. The main thing I feel the next morning are the ovaries working. My back is constantly feeling pinched! And my ovaries are twinging like crazy. Glad to know it's working! Just hoping it's good quality this time!

I had nausea start a couple days ago and I'm on estrogen priming, I didn't know that it might be the estrogen causing the nausea, I go for blood work in the morning. 

I do feel kind of hung over, wrung out and exhausted even though I just "slept" 9 hours, I use the word sleep lightly.

No, I'm not. Just Gonal-F and "Solution X," which is my clinic's diluted HCG.

I felt so grossly sick. I never thought to compare it to being hung over, but that is exactly what it felt like. My E2 was pretty high, so I'm not sure if it was the actual meds or the effect they were having on my poor body! But, you're not alone!

Doc just called with my E2 levels. After 2 days of stims I'm at 222, which is actually lower than last time. (I tend to be TOO sensitive to these meds, and crash before retrieval.) Guess it makes sense that I feel so crappy given what my poor body is going through.

Good to hear that I'm not the only one feeling crappy--not that I want others to feel yucky, but so I know nothing is weird. I guess I was so excited last time that none of it seemed this bad. I wish none of us had to go through this crap!

Gonal-F and I did not get along - at all.  I had dizziness, nausea & severe migraines.  I asked to have a different brand & had much fewer issues the third time around!

Ok, so scratch what I said above and add me to the list of IFers feeling hungover from stims! We met up with some friends for brunch, and when we got home, I felt so nauseous. I laid down for a nap, and now feel very groggy. Sigh! I just keep reminding myself that this is temporary and will be worth it (regardless of the result).

Hello, I am on 2nd iui and wake up with dry mouth like as if ive drank the night before. I am on progesterone im done with the injections for now. Didnt feel like this the first time i did this.

I'm on day 9 of stims today and I feel barely able to get out of bed in the mornings. My doctor said my exhaustion is due to the estrogen (estrogen priming protocol). I have to sit in a half day meeting today and I'm hoping I can stay focused, I have an all day long meeting on Thursday, by that time I think I'll just paint eyeballs on my eyelids  )

Hope everyone else is making it through the haze of stims with some success!

Good idea! I wonder if that will work for the class I'm supposed to teach this afternoon?
