"Are you pregnant?"

"When are you having another baby?"   I recently started getting these inquiries from family, friends, and coworkers. Coincidentally, DH and I have been talking about it but being literally broke, getting pregnant is not the best thing right now. Of course, being of "advanced maternal age" I don't exactly have a huge window of time if we are going to.

Now that our kidlettes are slowly creeping up to 2, are you starting to get the inquiries, too?

Oh yeah. Anytime I talk to my parents now and start a sentence with "OH Guess what!?!?" or "Guess what happened to me today" or even just a simple text like "Want to skype later, I have something to tell you" it turns into "OMGZ YOUR TOTALLY PREG RIGHT!!?!?!?!?!?!"

It gets annoying. To be fair I have never shared stresses about my new job, any money troubles, my feelings about DH going away for long term trainings or even any of my losses with my parents. I love them but we don't have THAT relationship. I've just left it at "I don't want 2 babies in diapers so we'll revisit when she's 2-3" To be honest I just really enjoy my time with just her right now. As an older sibling I know how much that will change no matter how hard I try. Also DH and I have pretty much agreed that it will make more sense for me to stay home once we have 2+ kids, and I just got a promotion for a job I LOVE so I want to spend time living in the life I have right now before we move on to the next step.

We already have three and have made it obvious we're done so no no ones questioning us!

Yes, I was sick in December with the flu and was questioned mercilessly, as if being sick wasn't bad enough. I'm actually dreading going to a cooking class with mil and sil since there is free wine. I just want to make it until I have a healthy ultrasound, I mean does anyone enjoy hearing good news that they have to drag out of you? Before I got my bfp I had a friend asking me if we were still trying, which I said yes to, but I'm glad I'll be further along next Time I get grilled

I don't hear it as much as when DS was younger. My family has stopped referencing it since they know about my current marital situation but his family is in the dark about our problems and has made inquiries here and there. Honestly, even if my marriage was in a great place, I am enjoying having just one right now. Sure I miss the baby baby days but I don't have an overwhelming desire to have another. I have heard from several people that being an only child is hard on someone especially when they get older and it comes down to taking care of their parents they don't have anyone to share the responsibility, but I don't know that I feel that's a good enough reason to bring another person into the world, know what I mean?

We are kind of opposite. When we got our BFP we got more responses of "all ready?!" They will be two years apart so I'm not sure why that's so shocking for people.

This! (From most people)  Even my OB said she didn't expect to see me so soon again!

After this one is born, we aren't 100% sure if we are having another or not.  We will tell people we are done, so that we don't need to deal with people asking all of the time.  (ahem... MIL)

MIL started asking 3 weeks after DD was born when we were planning the next one.  seriously. 
When someone asked us if were were thinking of having another, she immediately jumped in before we could answer "Oh yes!  Of course we are!"

When we did start trying, we told people that we weren't going to be thinking about trying until January... I didn't want to have to deal with all of the questions that go along with trying for a baby... luckily we got pregnant right away... but that doesn't always happen.
